Cuba, Venezuela Denounce US Interference
The Parliaments of Cuba and Venezuela have denounced US interference in their domestic affairs in a joint statement at the closing of the 2nd Interparliamentary Meeting.

The document, signed in Havana by the respective speakers of both legislative houses Nicolas Maduro (Venezuela) and Ricardo Alarcon in Havana, cautions over Washington´s escalating intrusion in Latin America.

Both institutions urge the US Administration to respect international laws and reject laws that violate international laws like the Helms-Burton.

They call for respect to people´s self-determination and observance of resolutions approved by the UN that demand to put an end to the economic, commercial and financial blockade on Cuba.

Both Parliaments also urge for the extradition to Venezuela of confessed terrorist Luis Posada Carriles to be judged for his crimes, and the release of the Cuban Five, wrongfully jailed in the US for preventing anti-Cuba terrorist actions devised in Miami.
