New Briefs: Twins Go Home: Looking for Workers: Arias Blasts Legilslators

Siamese Twins Go Home
Fiorella and Yurelia, the Siamese twins left hospital yesterday and went home for the first time since birth. At 11:15am, the twins, in the arms of their parents, made their way home to León XIII, north of San José, dressed in the same clothing used by Siamese Karen y Karol Jiménez Arias. Karol and Karen's parents were on hand yesterday to help out the new parents, remembering their experience of 20 years ago in Puntarenas.

Looking For Workers
If you are cook, gardner, maid, waiter or driver, get your resumé ready and head out to Guanacaste where on September 30, October 1 and 2, the Feria Turística del Empleo en el Mall de Liberia will be held, that will bring together 45 area companies who are looking for labour for the high season that begins in November. According to Labour Minister, Fernando Trejos, hotels top the list needing workers, however, many other opportunities in tourism will be available as well.

Arias Blasts President and Legislators for Stalling Tax Plan
Presidential candidate, Óscar Arias Sánchez, says that legislators as well as president Abel Pacheco, are opportunists and it is absolutely irresponsible of them not to approve the Reforma Fiscal quickly. Arias says it is indispicable that it has taken three and a half years of discussion to get nowhere. The green and white party leader says that the lawmakers and the government are playing with the stability of Costa Rica.
