NASA Studies the Atmosphere
Here
In January next year, NASA's
flying lab WB-57 will return to
Costa Rica.
This time the sophisticated
aircraft does not plan to
photograph every centimeter of
the nation's territory nor chase
a space shuttle upon her return
to the Earth as she has done
before.
The task this time is to measure
the presence of gases such as
ozone and carbon dioxide, dust,
water vapor, the temperature and
the pressure of the atmosphere.
The project spans all the way
between Costa Rica and the
Equator, and it will take 12
scientific flights.
