Coffee Event of the Year Underway
Coffee traders take part in the cupping competition at the XIX SINTERCAFÉ International Coffee Conference in San José, that began last Saturday and runs until Wednesday, at the Hotel Herradura.

The event is held every year in November,  and is known worldwide as Costa Rica becomes the meeting place for key decision makers from the most important coffee companies in the world, both producers and consumers. Coffee industry experts from around the world participate in the showcase event of the world's fine coffees.

SINTERCAFÉ is more than just another coffee meeting and trade show. It's more like a family reunion.

There is a thread of companionship and a passion for coffee that runs through this group. Contagious enthusiasm is evident at each SINTERCAFÉ. The high level of energy, commitment and attention to detail offered continuously exceeds participants’ expectations. SINTERCAFE is a non profit organization founded in Costa Rica in 1987 with the objective of promoting the outstanding quality of Costa Rican coffee.

The organization through the realization of various activities such as conventions, coffee tours, seminars and workshops, have led meetings not only for consumers but for producers as well, allowing for the improvement of commercial relations and coffee technology.

SINTERCAFE, is without a thought, the most interesting and best attended coffee event taking place in a producing nation. Each year they receive more than 500 participants who have the opportunity to exchange their experience and, interact with the worlds Coffee Community to strengthen the coffee commerce.
