Price of Gasoline Drops
Tomorrow
Better wait till tomorrow to
fill your gasoline tank, because
as of midnight tonight the price
of a litre of super gasoline
will drop ¢46 colones and ¢27
colones for a litre of regular,
following the publication of the
quick approval by the Autoridad
Reguladora de los Servicios
Públicos (Aresep) last week, in
today's edition of the official
newspaper La Gaceta.
Today, a litre of super gasoline
will cost you ¢504 colones.
Tomorrow, it will cost ¢458. The
price for a litre of regular
gasoline today is ¢463 colones,
tomorrow it will be ¢436 colones.
What the price drop means is a
savings of ¢2.070 colones to
fill a 45 litre tank with super
and ¢1.125 colones with regular.
However, don't get too happy,
because, expected in the coming
days is the publication of the
trimester adjustment of the tax
imposed on gasoline, changing
the reduction to only ¢42.5 for
a litre of super and ¢23.5 for
regular.
Diesel gasoline prices are not
affected.
