Salvadorians satisfied with work
of president
Salvadorian President Elias
Antonio Saca now enjoys the
highest popularity in two
decades among his people, said a
poll published by CID-Gallup on
Wednesday.
Among the 1,203 people polled,
62 percent think that Saca, who
took office in June last year,
has a "good" or "very good"
performance in office and 57
percent believe in his
sincerity, according to reports
reaching here from San Salvador,
capital of El Salvador.
However, a third of the
respondents said they are
concerned about the high level
of violence in the country, the
reported cited the CID-Gallup
poll as saying.
The poll also shows that 31
percent of the respondents
support Saca's right-wing
Republican Nationalist Alliance
while 21 percent favor the
left-wing Farabundo Martin Front
of National Liberation.
