Early Morning Bank Robbery in Escazú
The Banco Promerica located in Plaza Iskatzu, across from Multiplaza in Escazú, was the target of bank robbers yesterday who made out with more than one million colones (us$2.100) in a early morning heist.

According to information by the press office of the Organismo de Investigación Judicial (OIJ), four men entered the bank as it opened yesterday morning and took what was in the teller cash drawers and fled.

The men arrived in a taxi that had been stolen earlier that morning in Rivera de Belén.

Police say that robbery was peaceful and no one was hurt though armed weapons were used in the robbery.

The security guards at the bank were not alarmed as the men entered, one wearing a suit and three wearing a Policia Transito uniform.
