Latin American leaders to hold summit with
Spanish PM
Presidents of Venezuela, Brazil and
Colombia will hold a summit with Spain's prime minister on March 29 in
Venezuela to boost relations, a senior Venezuelan official said on
Tuesday.
Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez, Brazil's Luiz I. Lula da Silva and
Colombia's Alvaro Uribe will meet Spanish Prime Minister Jose Luis
Rodriguez Zapatero in Puerto Ordaz, 550 km southeast of Caracas, said
Communications Minister Andres Izarra.
Izarra hoped the summit will support and reinforce the relations between
the three Latin American countries and Spain.
One day after the summit, Zapatero will sign a series of agreements with
Venezuela, according to Izarra.
