Officials from Venezuela´s Tourism Ministry
hope to jack up the number of tourist arrivals in 2005 to as many as 45
million nationals and 639,000 foreign trippers, according to estimates
reckoned in a comprehensive national plan.
Tourism Minister Wilmar Castro believes there are pretty good chances of
peaking 50 million domestic vacationers in the course of next year and
notching it up to 55 million in 2007.
As to the amount of outbound trekkers, that figure could end up at
831,000 in 2006 and nearly a million foreign trippers a year later.
