Wizards In Costa Rica for Second Leg
The Kansas City Wizards will travel to
Costa Rica when they take on Saprissa in the second leg of their
Champions Cup series tomorrow, Thursday, March 17th.
The match will kickoff at 8:00 p.m. CT from Estadio Ricardo Saprissa and
will be broadcast live on Fox Sports en Español.
Following a scoreless draw in Game One of the first round series in
Kansas City last week, the Wizards Champions' Cup future comes down to a
single game on foreign soil with an invitation to the semifinals on the
line.
Despite not scoring in the home leg of the series, the Wizards were
encouraged by their performance considering they are in the second month
of preseason training while the opposition is nine games into their
League season.
Kansas City arrived in Costa Rica yesterday and began preparations for
Thursday's match. Following the Champions Cup match, the team will
remain in San José for another week taking part in training sessions and
exhibition matches as they continue to prepare for the 2005 MLS regular
season opener on Saturday, April 2nd.
