"Aguaceros" Inundate San José
If driving in and around San
José is difficult enough,
driving in heavy rain
complicates it even more.
Such was the case for the Friday
afternoon rush hour yesterday as
San José and surrounding areas
was inundated with "aguaceros" -
heavy rains. The Central Valley
was completely under heavy rain
and cloud well into the late
evening hours.
The aguaceros were also felt all
along the Pacific coastline from
Guanacaste to the north to
Golfito in the south. The only
area that has favourable weather
conditions was the Caribbean
coast province of Limón.
Authorities report that 54 litre
per square metre of water fell
in downtown San José alone.
