Venezuelan VP: CIA plotting to
kill Chávez
Venezuelan Vice President José
Vicente Rangel has claimed that
President Hugo Chávez' life "is
seriously threatened," and puts
the blame on the CIA for
plotting to kill the Venezuelan
head of State.
Rangel made the remarks during a
summit on terrorism held in
Havana, Cuba and hosted by Cuban
president Fidel Castro.
Rangel added that the Colombian
paramilitary troopers, hired
assassins, and Cuban exiles in
Miami are plotting to
assassinate Chávez, while in his
words "the Central Intelligence
Agency is pulling the strings."
