One dead, seven injured in Colombia air crash
One person died and seven others were injured Wednesday when a light airplane crashed into a house near an airport in the southern Colombian city of Neiva, 304 km south of Bogota, authorities said.

The crash, which occurred two minutes before landing, was blamed on mechanical malfunction.

The copilot of the plane died, and three others aboard the plane and four people in the house were injured, some seriously.

Authorities have started investigations into the crash.
