Foundation Vice President Speaks Out Against Phone Rabbi
Local channel 7 news team Telenoticias has been giving ample coverage to the woman who claimed to be a rabbi and headed a foundation to help children. Now, lawyer María Teresita Madrigal, who is also an ex-judge, speaks out on the work of Rabbi Elohim Gebor and the foundation Templo de los Santos Apocalípticos del Tercer Milenio, which is supposedly part of the Visión de Vivir foundation.

Madrigal told Telenoticias that she met the "woman of the thousand faces", Ileana Zambrana Pineda, a 49 year old Nicaraguan woman who supposedly had come to Costa Rica help children with aids.

"She asked me to be vice-president of the foundation, and I said yes. Now I realize it was a mistake... ", Madrigal said.

Madrigal says she med Ileana after seeing in a television interview. She helped the woman by offering her to stay in her house while she got the foundation off the ground. "She said she was a doctor of philosophy and theology", said the Mardigal.

Madrigal brought in several other lawyers that would make up a group of lawyers to help the woman with the foundation. Erick Briones was one of those lawyers, who appears as lawyer for the foundation in his effort to help the children. However, he was taken aback when he saw Ileana dresses as rabbi on television.

"She called me and told me she had changed personality, she now was a rabbi and a man...", commented Briones.

Both Madrigal and Briones stay firm that they acted in good faith and were duped by the woman and have not taken any part in any more foundation work once the scam was discovered.

Madrigal's last words to Telenoticias and Ileana were, "it's time she stopped scamming people, lying and stealing."
