IMF Foresees Lower Growth
The growth of Central American economy will be 0.3 percent less this year as compared to 2004, according to estimates by the International Monetary Fund (IMF).

According to the Fund, the economy of Belize will grow 3.3%, Costa Rica 3.2%, El Salvador 2.5%, Guatemala 3.1%, Honduras 4%, and Panama 3.5%.

The IMF report points out that the rhythm of growth has increased in Central America, but that the volatility of oil prices is a risk for the region.
