Chavez Insists Venezuelan
Revolution Irreversible
Venezuelan Head of State Hugo
Chavez stated that the
revolution in his country has no
reverse, since the most
important thing is the people,
not who is the president.
The statesman highlighted that
in a few years, the South
American nation will show more
unity and popular conscience,
superior economic and social
development, and an increase in
participative democracy.
The CIA and Washington -he
warned- plan to unleash a crisis
in Venezuela in 2006, for the
coming presidential elections,
that is why, he added, the unity
of the people with the Armed
Forces is vital.
Chavez spoke on Wednesday at the
venue of the 3rd World Meeting
of Solidarity with the
Bolivarian Revolution, in
Caracas" Teresa Carreńo Theater.
With the attendance of 4,000
representatives from more than
20 nations, the forum opened on
the occasion of the third
anniversary of the defeat of the
coup d"etat by a civic-military
movement.
The President paid tribute to
the people who fell defending
the revolution during those
days, and emphasized that if
someone believes killing Chávez
is a way to stop the country,
the Venezuelans will stop
oligarchy and their maneuvers.
"Three years later, the
aggressions and the conspiracy
of the US continue, that is why
we call you to defend national
sovereignty with the impassable
wall of the great popular mass,"
he stated.
He highlighted that the
Venezuelan process has fed from
many world experiences, that is
why the Constitution passed in
1999 is a result of the world
revolution, and it is a national
project more than a
constitution.
