90% of Puntarenas
Could Be Under Water Due to Global
Warming
According to a report by Instituto
Meteorológico Nacional (IMN) and the
International Ocean Institute (IOI),
located at the Universidad Nacional,
between 60% and 90% of the town of
Puntarenas could be under water by the
year 2100, due to global warming.

The name given to the Braulio Carrillo
highway forming part of route 32 that
connects to San José to Limón is "la
ruta de la muerte" (death road) is not
by accident but because of the
accidents, fatal accidents that occur on
this road almost daily.
