At Airport Intersection
Without question the
intersection west of the Juan
Santamaría International airport
on the General Cañas highway is
one of the most hair raising and
dangerous in the country. The
intersection is scene to 3 to 4
accidents a week.
The result of the early
Thursday morning
accident at the
intersection east of the
airport, definitely the
most dangerous
intersection in the
country, as a tractor
trailer dragged a car
that failed to respect a
stop sign some 50 metres
and almost ending up on
the runway tarmac. The
accident caused traffic
chaos and delayed
several morning flights.
