This week has been "Semana Nacional de Salud Bucodental" - National Mouth Week - where authorities tried to raise the conciousnsess of the population, especially smokers, about mouth cancer. Smoking According to the World Health Organizaton (WHO), some 5.000.000 people die around the world annually caused by cigarette smoking.  In Costa Rica there are an estimated 600.000 smokers.
