Former Minister Feels She is Being Persecuted
Former Minister de la Condición de la Mujer, Esmeralda Britton, spoke out yesterday, saying that her resignation didn't come from any wrongdoing, but rather that she is being persecuted in an attempt to smear her good name.

 

34% of Transit Police Vehicles "In the Shop"
A report published in the daily Spanish newspaper La Nacion, says that three out of every ten Transit Police patrol cars are "in the shop" with some form of maintenance work required. Recurring damages, lack of regular maintenance and the time it takes to get the approval for a repair is part of the ongoing problem at the Transit authority.

In the first four months of 2004, there 4.874 civil marriages registered, while only 2.285 catholic marriages. The month with the most marriage registration was March with 2.278 for the month.
