Police arrest man suspected of burglarizing homes in Nuevo Arenal

December 30th, 2015 (ICR News) Police arrested a man on Tuesday suspected of burglarizing homes in Nuevo Arenal, in the canton of Tilaran, Guanacaste.

 

The man, identified by the last name Picado, was taken into custody at a home located in Cabanga, in San Rafael de Guatuso, where authorities were reportedly able to seize evidence linking the man to at least two November home burglaries in Nuevo Arenal, a small community on the shores of Lake Arenal which has a sizeable population of North American expats.

 

Picado remains in custody and authorities are attempting to determine if the suspect may be connected to other burglaries in the area.
