December 16th, 2015 (ICR News) A Belgian man drowned at La Rajada Beach in La Cruz, Guanacaste on Tuesday after succumbing to a riptide, according to Costa Rica’s Red Cross.
The man, identified as Jean Francois Geores, was reportedly on an “extended vacation” in the country, and had been staying in La Garita de Alajuela.
There have been some 100 fatal drownings in Costa Rica so far this year, according to estimates by ICR News.
