December 3rd, 2015 (ICR News) High-end supermarket retailer, AutoMercado plans to invest US $72 million between 2016 and 2024 to open 18 new locations at a cost of US $4 million each, company president, Guillermo Alonso told reporters this week.
The company plans to open an average of two new locations per year, and each location will generate between 100 and 110 direct jobs in addition to a significant number of indirect jobs from contractors and suppliers that service the supermarket chain, Alonso said. Alonso declined to say where the new supermarkets would be located.
The announcement was made as the company celebrated the 55th anniversary of the opening of its first location in San Jose.
