      Yeah Scott.I wondered about that statement myself and tried to research it but couldn’t find anything about that. The thing that is going on between USA and China at sea is definitely NOT doing maneuvers together but rather being at odds about the USA moving around in international waters which China is trying to claim as it’s own.

      Scott, this particular story is from DPA, the German Press Agency, which is one of our syndication partners. It was not reported by us here at ICR.

      However, we have syndicated DPA stories for a couple of years now, and they are one of the most reliable news syndicates out there, in my opinion. I questioned this myself even when I read it, but in the last 2 years that we have had a syndication arrangement with DPA, they haven’t gotten a story wrong yet, at least not any story that we syndicated on ICR that I am aware of.

      Notice as well that not only does the story mention that they carried out exercises in the Atlantic with the US, that they plan on visiting Hawaii after passing through the Panama Canal. I agree this seems odd, but my experience with DPA is that they could not possibly screw up a story in such a way.
