In brief Independence Day speech, President Solis urges Costa Ricans to overcome their fears

September 16th, 2015 (ICR News) In a less-than-15-minute speech commemorating 194 years of Costa Rica’s independence, President Luis Guillermo Solis urged Costa Ricans to overcome their fears about the country’s future.

“It is fear from which we must liberate ourselves daily.  Do not be afraid neither of the present or the future,” Solis said, adding “the greatest happiness is lack of fear.”

Speaking to reporters after his speech, Solis said that some of the fears that Costa Ricans must overcome are the fear of poverty and the fear of competition in a global economy.

The ceremony, which took place between 9 a.m. and 10 a.m., was attended by just one of the 57 members of the country’s Legislative Assembly.  The audience was filled out by several ministers of the Solis administration.

The president is a scumbag and so full of it. Costa Rican´s are at the point of no return. Faith is when you trust goverment .Costa Rican do not trust there goverment at all. The president is waiting for his Pension so he can move to spain where his wife is from. Costa Rican´s are now at the point of praying for food and jobs. HP just said they will cut staff by 30.000 and Costa Rica will be affected this time. The end has been here for the last 5 years. Life is full of exits so i advice everyone Visit Costa Rica but don´t live here or invest in Tico Land. You could loose everything to the corupt goverment of Costa Rica. Mafia = Costa Rica Goverment.

He senses there is fear, but for some reason cannot see the obvious: it’s that we have idiots at the helm. That’s the fear.
