    Thank you ICR for publishing this article.The national media refuses to recognise the goings on of the Preppers. The Preppers come from many groups,not just the Mormons. People feel there is something very wrong with what is happening and where we are going as a country and as a human species.No one knows where we are headed but there can be no problem for being prepared.If your store food,you can always eat at some point in time. Do what’s wrong with putting in a solar system or storing water or growing some crops. Whether disaster hits or not,there are many ways to benefit by being a Prepper.

      Mormons and other groups say you should have 3 to 6 months worth of food, medicine and a way to make water safe to drink stored. Here in CR in the city many are lucky to have 3 days………

        Thanks for the reply disgsted.
        That’s why I bought a farm with three year round springs on it. I lived in Puriscal for four years and had to put up with intervals of no water in town.I used to store ten gallons of water in my bathroom for emergencies. We need to learn to do more for ourselves and depend less on services.

          I live in the city. I think I can last about a month depending on my water supply. I have propane tank , stored water, iodine available method of having drinkable water. Plus dried food ( rice, pasta, powered milk, canned tuna and other meat and beans) .. Plus a few other things like a battery radio, candles , lantern .. Earth quake, volcano, or some other unforeseen issues.
