September 1st, 2015 (ICR News) Air Panama will begin offering flights between San Jose, Costa Rica and one of Panama’s most popular tourist destinations, Bocas del Toro beginning on October 1st, with pricing beginning at just $99 each way, the airline announced on Monday.
Flights will depart every Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday at 11:45 a.m. from San Jose, arriving in Bocas del Toro at 3:00 p.m. after a stopover in David, Panama.
The airline will also offer vacation packages for the budget-conscious, such as a $299 package that includes round-trip airfare, two nights accommodation with breakfast included, and ground transfers.
“We know that tourism is very expensive for Costa Ricans in their own country, which is why we want to offer affordable opportunities for people on a budget,” Maru Galvez, an airline spokesperson said.
In related news, Air Costa Rica, which is actually a joint venture with Air Panama, successfully concluded the certification process to become an official air carrier last month.
Air Costa Rica plans to offer daily direct flights from San Jose’s Juan Santamaria International Airport to Panama, Colombia, Ecuador, Peru, Nicaragua and Guatemala by the end of the year.
