Search continues for mountain biker that mysteriously disappeared near Uvita de Osa

August 26th, 2015 (ICR News) The search continued Wednesday morning for a mountain biker that mysteriously disappeared while participating in a friendly cycling route with other enthusiasts on Sunday.
The missing man is Jose Orlando Gomez Gomez, 57, a resident of Perez Zeledon, and father of one.
Gomez was participating on a cycling trip from downtown San Isidro (PZ) to Uvita de Osa, via a 36-kilometer route known as San Rafael Platanares, according to La Nacion.
Fellow cyclists reported that they last saw Gomez just 3 kilometers from the finish line.
The man’s wife said that Gomez has been practicing mountain biking for eight years and has no health problems. The man’s wife said he was not carrying a cell phone.
At least 14 Red Cross workers continued the search for Gomez yesterday, but failed to find a trace of the missing man.
