Water taxi, tourist vessel collide killing one in Costa Rica’s Tortuguero

Are you kidding me? You mean to tell us that the Ticos driving these boats didn’t have their lights on? Can you believe it? WOW!
I was driving down a mountain road –pitch black–dark dark night-when I almost ran into an asshole Tico riding a motorcycle –there he was–helmet akimbo–back on his head so that he could talk on his cell phone–going slow–absolutely ZERO LIGHTS ON THE MOTORCYCLE !
Why didn’t I just go ahead and run over him? Well because I am not wired like that.
I have “bumped” a few bicyclists who believe they own the road and ride down the center of the lane–slowly–right in front of you and who ever else might be trying to legally and responsibly navigate these San Jose streets at night.

It sends them into a high speed front end wobble–the funny kind that hopefully teaches them that they really do NOT own the roads after all.–Not a dangerous or deadly crunch, just a warning shot –so to speak.
Then there was the bus driver who almost ran me off the road at night because I was keeping a safe distance from the car in front of me. ( Ticos are completely unaware of this road safety rule). It seems to me that they want to ride the bumper of the car in front of them. Anyway as fate would have it–he ended up to the right of me, still trying to force me off the road, when I was beside him with my 357 snub nose drawn–he was too high up in the bus’ drivers seat for me to get off a shot. He lived–another asshole Tico who is yet to learn his life lesson to not fuck with certain Gringos.-
-Just like the asshole Tico who ran up behind me and then pulled directly in front of me almost causing me to wreck— when I was riding my hard tail Harley in pouring rain on the same major highway ,although further west toward Cuidad Colon). Since the throttle is held in the right hand ( my gun shooting hand by the way) I couldn’t use my right hand to get my 357 out of the holster and get off a shot.–kind of too bad because , well maybe it’s better that I didn’t shoot him, why I don’t know. Maybe he would have swerved and I would have hit him and then wreck? Anyway I decided it was better to stop carrying my gun because it is way too tempting to use.
