May 20th, 2015 (InsideCostaRica.com) The Costa Rican Red Cross and police officers have discovered in Upala the lifeless body of an 11-year-old boy, along with his 9-year-old sister, who is alive but with severe injuries and suffering from hypothermia.
The boy’s body and his injured sister were found in a ravine a short distance from their home. The two went missing around 1 p.m. Tuesday while walking to school in Valle Bonito, a community about 30 km north of downtown Upala.
The Ministry of Public Security said that a suspect, who is believed to have raped the girl and killed her brother, has been arrested.
