U.S. man killed, woman injured after car falls off 100-foot cliff
April 6th, 2015 (InsideCostaRica.com) A U.S. man identified by the last name Kritzer, 67, died late Friday afternoon after a vehicle in which he was traveling skidded out of control and fell off a nearly 100-foot cliff in the area of San Josecito de Uvita in Osa, according to the Judicial Investigative Police (OIJ).
The vehicle was driven by another U.S. citizen, identified by officials as a 57-year-old woman by the last name Rienhard. The woman was taken to the local hospital in Puerto Cortés, reportedly in stable condition.
The woman reportedly tested negative for alcohol.
The cause of the accident is under investigation.
