National Women’s Institute reminds those who pay alimony, child support to pay holiday bonus

December 5^th, 2014 (InsideCostaRica.com) The National Institute for Women (INAMU) is reminding those who pay court-ordered child support or alimony to pay their former partners the mandatory holiday bonus known as Aguinaldo.

The amount to be paid is equal to one month’s regular payment, in addition to the regular monthly sum.  The legal deadline is December 20^th.

INAMU is also urging women to report cases of domestic violence, the number of which tend to increase around the holidays, according to the institute.
