December 5th, 2014 (InsideCostaRica.com) Nearly 3,500 athletes from around the world will compete in the 19th San Jose Marathon this Sunday.
The marathon begins and ends at the National Stadium in La Sabana, and takes runners through the main arteries of San Jose, including Paseo Colon and Second Avenue.
This year, two Kenyans are both favorites to win the race – Ruth Chepkoech amongst the women and Patrick Nthiwa amongst the men.
Runners leave the starting block at 1 p.m.
