Attention pork lovers: Puriscal’s annual Chicharrón Fair kicks off today

December 5^th, 2014 (InsideCostaRica.com) Anthony Bourdain, you’re missing out on nine days of pork porn.

Puriscal’s annual Chicharrón Fair kicks off today at 5 p.m., and carnivores will relish in mountains of fat-fried chunks of pork until next Sunday, December 14^th.

For those who aren’t fans of chicharrón, there will be plenty of sausage and more than enough ollas de carne to go around.

Besides raising your cholesterol, there will be plenty of other fun activities as well, including for children.

One of the most popular attractions is the helicopter tour, which takes visitors on an aerial tour of the canton for about 10 minutes at a time.  In years past the tours usually cost around ¢20,000.  The tours will be offered this Saturday and Sunday.
