December 3rd, 2014 (InsideCostaRica.com) Authorities are urging caution for beachgoers and those sailing in small vessels on Costa Rica’s Caribbean and northern Pacific coasts on Wednesday and Thursday.

According to authorities, strong winds being produced by a weather system north of the country could produce waves of up to nine-and-a-half feet, which could endanger beachgoers, and choppy seas that could endanger small watercraft and vessels.  Conditions are expected to be slightly worse on the Caribbean coast, according to authorities.

Conditions should begin to calm late Thursday afternoon, forecasters said.
