November 19th, 2014 (InsideCostaRica.com) Riteve (RTV), which is in charge of annual mandatory motor vehicle inspections, submitted a request on Monday to regulator ARESEP to more than triple its inspection fees.
If approved, the fee would increase from ¢9,000 to ¢30,000 per inspection.
A Riteve spokesperson told reporters that the request is being made because the fees have not been adjusted in 10 years, adding that costs such as wages and taxes have increased during that time.
