President Solis to discuss immigration, trade, security on official visit to Panama

November 18th, 2014 (InsideCostaRica.com) President Luis Guillermo Solis will pay an official visit Wednesday to Panamanian president, Juan Carlos Varela.

 

The leaders and several ministers are expected to discuss issues of immigration, trade, and security, amongst other issues.

 

“For me it is a very important visit.  Panama and Costa Rica have a relationship that can be improved a lot, and that will benefit both countries,” Solis said in a statement.

 

Among the Costa Rican ministers expected to accompany Solis are Foreign Minister Manuel Gonzalez; Minister of Foreign Trade, Alexander Mora; Security Minister Celso Gamboa; Deputy Minister of Transport, Mauricio Gonzalez; and Deputy Finance Minister, Fernando Rodriguez.

 

Solis is expected to depart from San Jose at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, flying to the Marcos Gelabert International Airport in Panama City.
