October 31st, 2014 (InsideCostaRica.com) Costa Rica’s first P.F. Chang’s is set to open its doors Monday in Escazu.

P.F. Chang’s is an Asian-themed casual dining restaurant chain, and is the largest such chain in the United States, where it operates 204 restaurants.

The Escazu location, located in the Avenida Escazu shopping center, came with an investment of $2.5 million USD and the hiring of 125 direct employees.

The restaurant will be operated by Enjoy Group, which manages and has developed a number of hotels, restaurants and casinos throughout Costa Rica.

Company officials said they decided to bring the brand to Costa Rica after a successful experience in Panama.

The location’s hours will be noon to 10 p.m. Sunday through Thursday, and noon to 11 p.m. on Friday and Saturday.

I have drive by this place for past 6 months, wondering if it would ever open. When I was in Houston I would go there once a week, This was over 10 yrs ago. The prices were a little steep then like for one person $25 bucks plus tip. I wonder how the prices stack up now. Just in time for Christmas bonus. 2.5 million invested, WHEW! how many bowls of brown rice with shrimp/ Mongolian beef do they have to sell to recoup that ?? Tim, maybe you could have had the menu and prices listed to avoid sticker shock. Food is delicious.

Lunch prices will range from 4,000 to 7,000+ (not including IVI and service) according to a press release, no word on dinner menu prices.

So one person gets the 7,000 meal. add a drink or two 10,000 colons plus 13% tax+10% service tip = 12,300. So that’s $25 bucks for lunch, nice EH! When the average worker makes that a day. So this kind of excludes the everyday hard working public.

    Como el candor.

    En la pradera

    un ligero soplo

    de viento recuerda

    el pasar de un

    instante de vida,

    el canto del sol

    y la dulce palabra

    de una tierna

    poesía.
