10-foot deep hole opens on road between Curridabat and Zapote

September 17^th, 2014 (InsideCostaRica.com) One of the two lanes on the road in front of the AM/PM in Curridabat has been closed after a three meter (about 10 feet) deep hole opened in the roadway.

The route is mostly used by motorists traveling between Curridabat and Zapote, including an important bus route.

While very deep, the hole is currently only a couple of feet across, though authorities are concerned that the hole could widen significantly.

Motorists are advised to consider an alternative route.
