Woman accused of drugging and stealing thousands from men she met online

September 10th, 2014 (InsideCostaRica.com) The Judicial Investigation Police (OIJ) have arrested a 38-year-old woman on charges of robbery and attempted murder after she allegedly drugged at least three men before stealing their belongings.

An investigation determined that over the last two months the woman initiated contact with at least three men on online social networks, later convincing them to meet in person.

Upon meeting, the woman would allegedly slip a substance into the men’s drinks and proceed to steal their cash and belongings.

In one case, the victim took the woman to a jewelry store he owned, where the woman allegedly drugged him and proceeded to steal jewelry valued at $15,000 USD.

In another case, the woman allegedly made off with about $10,000 USD in cash.

The woman was arrested at her home in Desamparados, where authorities said they were able to seize important evidence in the case.

Reminds me of the women doing this downtown San Jose area gringo gulch several years ago. She would invite some guy to dinner as pretext her birthday . Then drug you. Ruffies, some use alcohol and eye drops and lace cigarettes with certain drugs. Her boyfriend usually close at hand . Well duh! meeting someone you have no knowledge of. I have met more dumb gringo’s telling these women all about their money and such.. Best way to meet a women. Recommendation knowing her and her family. On craig’s list your saying I have no skills in language, I am a sucker come and get me.

Dig, you are so correct. I have met and seen so many stupid guys who are perfect targets. They have been super successful in their financial lives in USA but come to CR or another foreign country and they know zero about women, how to meet them or how to act around them. If I were a thief I could have made bank setting up these idiots. I have seen them ready to buy huge expensive homes and turn them over to some woman they just met because they had to return to USA and were only in a foreign land for a short while. I simply couldn’t believe how these wealthy idiots operated around women. I learned that they had absolutely no self confidence with women and the 1st lucky woman who came along would reap substantial sums of money when she knew how to operate.
actually mindblowing how stupid most guys are around a woman.

Not saying that you guys are wrong about some clueless gringos, but how many gringos own jewelry stores in CR? From the story, it sounds like some of the targets were clueless Latinos, though now I’m curious to know.

The two cases mentioned were apparently Ticos. No clear info on the nationality of the third victim. Again, if we don’t specifically mention nationality, it is better to assume the the perp/victim/subject of the story is Tico. When reporting on Costa Ricans, in Costa Rica, we don’t necessarily (if ever) mention nationality.

If we were in the United States (or elsewhere), one wouldn’t append “U.S. Citizen, John Doe,” in mention of all subjects of the story. If no nationality is mentioned, assume the person(s) mentioned are Costa Rican.

Read before this gets deleted: Well Ken that was an astute observation, just goes to show that we men do stupid things and fall for a skirt in any nationality. I pointed out how clueless that I found many foreigners to be, however I must admit falling into that group also. I have “lost it” over more than a few of these Incredible Latin beauties myself. After all, in Genesis 6 of the Bible it explains how the “sons of God” meaning angels, left heaven to have sex with the comely daughters of men. So what does that tell you about the power of women? As for a debate about what “sons of God” means, a study of Hebrew shows that the Hebrew words used here are of the same meaning when used exactly the same in other scriptures, it means angels–and in this case they became the famous fallen angels. Read Genesis 6 and cross reference other chapters and other books to get the whole fascinating story. Gen,6 tells of the resulting offspring becoming Giants from which much lore is written, the Titans, etc. So much of the tales we have read of what seems fantasy actually have their roots in the Bible and actual history. Like the technology for flying saucers coming from these fallen angels-etc. There were other ages of the earth ( pyramids-huge quarry cut boulders which we can’t even move today and the exact cutting of the rock–all done with very advanced technology which was here in previous ages of the earth. Now if you want to do a really interesting study–check out hollow earth and how they say the aurora borealis emits from the entrances to hollow earth. Read about Admiral Richard E. Byrd who had a huge company of subs, tanks, army etc to accompany him on a military mission to the S. Pole and how they were turned back very rapidly-actually defeated rapidly by flying machines which destroyed the ships with rays etc.. Thank God for You Tube. Did you also see the vids about the head counsel ( lawyer) Karen Hudes speaking about the other race who actually runs the show on earth? The large number of big headed skulls found and how these highly intelligent beings are still here with us? Before you strike a mindless blow–read yourself. What about the newer findings of the towers being destroyed by particle beam weapons? NO? ok where are the remains of all the steel which should have been up to several stories high> OK then check into BUILDING 6 and explain where the interior went and then watch the remaining spire of the towers evaporate into dust right before the camera lens. It all became dust–DUST–imagine a weapon which reduces huge buildings to dust!!!!!!

The woman downtown was called “The Viper.”

Change of subject–Enough of my bashing of Costa Rica–here is an ice cold adjustment to the reality of going up against the relatively easy going Costa Rican police as compared to say, Canadian cops–a horror story-please read: Newser) – Witnesses say Quebec City police trying to pull over a bicyclist for going the wrong way down a one-way street ended up hitting him with their car instead, but what allegedly happened next is even worse: People on the street say cops ran the 48-year-old man over again, then pinned him to the ground to finish their arrest as he lay bleeding and dying, the Toronto Sun reports via Gawker.

When the police started pursuing Guy Blouin around 1pm yesterday, “he went under the wheels,” one witness tells the Sun, adding that the police then shifted gears and ran Blouin over again. “For an entire 15 seconds, he was under the tire in a fetal position,” another witness tells Radio-Canada, via CBC News. Police then allegedly pinned Blouin to the ground and told him he was under arrest, even though witnesses say the bicyclist was yelling “I’m hurt!” and spitting up blood; he died a few hours later at a local hospital. Protesters held a vigil last night at an area church. Provincial police are investigating the incident and witness claims that cops also tampered with evidence by removing the bike and the patrol car from the scene.
Now I ask you, would this kind of thing happen in Costa Rica? I think not. For all it’s flaws, this Canadian man would have been much better off living in peaceful Costa Rica.
