Pregnant woman stabbed for cell phone in Escazu

August 29th, 2014 (InsideCostaRica.com) A 20-year-old woman identified by the last names Vargas Solis was stabbed in the chest on Wednesday evening in Escazu when assailants tried to steal her cellular phone.  She is four months pregnant.

 

The attack took place at 8:25pm on the side of the Catholic Church in San Antonio de Escazu when the woman was intercepted by at least two attackers.

 

A Red Cross official said the woman was transported in critical condition to the San Juan de Dios Hospital where surgeons operated on the woman immediately.

 

The woman remains hospitalized in very serious condition.  The suspects were able to flee the scene.

      As for the obsession each of these two has for the other, I hope that they get over it.

      Having worked in disability program in the US, I would like to point out that it is possible to be totally disabled and physically unimpaired, which could explain some of this obsessive behavior or thinking that it is a good idea to ride a bull.

          People don’t always get disability for the reason they think. I couldn’t tell you how many people I talked to when their cases were up for review who said that their disability was for a back or heart problem but they were allowed benefits for mental impairments. When claims are denied, agencies tell them why, but when claims are approved, that isn’t the case. Regardless, I don’t see how a foot problem would necessarily affect the ability to ride a bull – maybe it would affect the ability to walk away.

          I don’t know that this guy is defrauding the government of benefits, but that that’s a side issue to his claims about others. As the kids on the playground say, “it takes one to know one.”

          My real point is that this is not the forum for personal attacks. Please take it somewhere else. If you feel the need to state a clarification or correction, once is really enough.

    To The Editor: My apologies for having to use this forum to achieve my goals. As you can see from his repeated posting of pictures he has set out to destroy a person in the social media. This is not the first person he has done this to. He has created multiple FB pages to continue his attacks and they are removed as soon as they are reported. The same happens in Craigslist but he just creates another free email address and starts all over again. I am trying to prevent Mr. Agnos from continuing his attack on Mr. Smith and others, not because I am their friend but because Mr. Agnos gets off on this sick vendetta and will not stop as long as he has a way to post his diatribe.
