Apparent explosion at Cachi hydro plant leaves four hospitalized

August 11th, 2014 (InsideCostaRica.com) An apparent explosion at the Cachi Hydroelectric Plant in Cartago left four people hospitalized on Saturday, according to the Red Cross.
A Red Cross official said the patients are in stable condition.
Details of the incident and what may have caused the explosion were not immediately available as of us press time. It was also not clear if the incident had any effect on the plant’s operations.
The Cachi Hydroelectric Plant began operations in 1966.
