Former U.S. President, Bill Clinton to visit Costa Rica on July 1st

June 27th, 2014 (InsideCostaRica.com) Former U.S. President, Bill Clinton will be in Costa Rica on July 1st for the official opening of the new Health Sciences building of Universidad Latina.

 

Clinton is scheduled to participate in a conference, and will also meet with Costa Rican Vice President, Ana Helena Chacón and other national figures.

 

The new facility, which came at a cost of more than $10 million USD, will provide a modern learning environment for those studying medicine and surgery, nursing, dentistry, pharmacy, psychology, optometry, biology and social work, and includes a complete simulated hospital.  It is reportedly the largest such learning facility in Central America.

 

The facility consists of 7,100 square meters of construction on five floors.

 

Bill Clinton, the 42nd President of the United States, served two terms in office between 1993 and 2001.

    LOOK DEEPER. What is this “Conference”about? Would be nice if you included that tidbit of information. Solis is doing just the opposite of what he stated-instead of doing business with all other countries and not being the backyard for the usa. We are all worried that he is acquiring too many ties with NWO and CFR members. Bringing in the usa border policies for the border with Panama, bringing in usa DEA people, bringing in unwarranted ex-gov. people from usa. How does Clinton have anything to do with a medical facility in CR? LOOK DEEPER we must.

      It would be nice to have the answers to your questions – what is the conference, and what does Clinton have to do with it? Clinton hasn’t been spending his retirement from public office at home making bad paintings. His Clinton Foundation is involved in many good projects in much of the developing world, so Clinton’s presence likely is related to the projects of the foundation.

      As for Solis’ interaction with other countries, it is early to make such broad statements. The US is Costa Rica’s main trading partner and foreign investor, so it would be foolhardy to alienate the US when Costa Rica is in need of foreign investment – after all, Clinton may be married to the next US president. Costa Rica should, however, do more to cultivate more trade relationships with other countries.

        My guess (just a guess) is if one could look far enough, one would find that the biggest thing the “Clinton Foundation” does is enrich the Clintons.

      Right. My first question is why he would attend an opening of a building at a for-profit university. I’m not saying there’s anything wrong with U. Latina, but in general would expect Clinton to avoid appearances at profit-making places, unless he were being paid to show up. Odds are expatin paradise is correct, that the trip has something to do with his foundation (which I suspect is wonderful), but we lack details and the appearance at U. Latina seems strange.
