December 23rd, 2013 (InsideCostaRica.com) An earthquake measuring 4.6 magnitude on the Richter scale shook Vara Blanca, Heredia, yesterday evening. The quake struck at 4:52 p.m.
Seismologists said the quake was caused by subduction of the Cocos plate. The quake was felt in several areas of the country.
There were no reports of injuries or damage.
