Inside Costa Rica is in the process of completing several upgrades

Inside Costa Rica began a series of upgrades late last week, which will continue through the week this week as well.

Inside Costa Rica has nearly doubled its traffic in the last several months, requiring the site to move to a larger hosting facility.

In addition, we are making a number of changes to the site itself, including new features and sections for our readers, several improvements for our advertisers.

We expect the entire process to be completed by Monday, December 2nd.  In the interim, our ability to publish will be reduced and occasionally sporadic.

We appreciate your understanding as we continually work to improve ICR for you, our valued readers.

Why is it that all the ads come up LONG before the articles ever do?

One of the issues that we are working on is site load time, which is related to this. This can also depend upon your location (if you are in the US or in CR, for example). In general, this tends to happen in people here in CR, because our advertising server has servers here in CR, while the web server for the general site is actually at a hosting facility in the USA, so there is more delay on the content than the ads (if you are in CR) as the content has to travel a further distance to reach you.

We are hoping to have this issue solved by replicating content servers here in CR, though the process of doing that is lengthy and might not be completed by Monday.

      Thanks for reading ICR!
