September 25th, 2013 (InsideCostaRica.com) The Regulatory Authority for Public Services (ARESEP) has approved a series of reductions in electricity rates for the last quarter of this year.
Rates charged by the Costa Rican Electricity Institute will decrease by 13.6%, while National Power & Light (CNFL) will decrease rates by 16%.
The Public Service Company of Heredia will lower rates by 18.4%, Jasec by 14%, Coopelesca by 7.23% and Coopeguanacaste by 15.79%. Coopesantos will also reduce its rates by 9.41%.
The new rates go into effect beginning October 1st until December 31st of this year.
