The agreement was signed by Costa Rican Foreign Minister Enrique Castillo and his Palestinian counterpart, Riyad al-Maliki, Costa Rica’s Foreign Ministry said in a statement.

“This agreement reflects the commitment of both countries to strengthen relations and the development of mutual understanding in areas such as education, culture, health, tourism, agriculture, environment, sciene and technology, libraries and archives, youth and sports, cooperation, strengthening of the Foreign Service, and rights of children and families,” the statement said.
