Lawyer gunned down in central Grecia

September 10^th, 2013 (InsideCostaRica.com) A 41-year-old lawyer identified by the last name Vargas was gunned down by two men on a motorcycle as he drove his vehicle in central Grecia yesterday afternoon.

The attack occurred at 5:40 p.m., 200 meters east of the Palí supermarket in Grecia.  The gunmen fired at least seven shots at Vargas, who lost control of his vehicle and crashed into a home.  Authorities said the victim died immediately.

Although officers closed area roads to try to trap the gunmen, the suspects were able to escape.
