September 4th, 2013 (InsideCostaRica.com) President Laura Chinchilla said that a possible attack on Syria over the country’s alleged use of chemical weapons “does not appear to be the solution” to the conflict in response to a reporters’ question during a news conference.
Chinchilla said that an attack would result in the deaths of innocent civilians.
A bombing “does not appear to be the solution required, that has been our position which we will continue to maintain,” Chinchilla said.
U.S. President Barack Obama is pushing for the support of U.S. lawmakers for a missile attack on Syria. A vote by U.S. lawmakers is expected as early as today.
