September 4th, 2013 (InsideCostaRica.com) Security forces responded to a 911 call around noon yesterday about an alleged kidnapping in Pacuare de Limón.
According to the director of the Fuerza Publica of Limon, Randall Picado, a group of men allegedly forced another man – who has a criminal record for aggravated robbery – into a vehicle and fled to Pacuare.
The men then entered a house which was surrounded by officers and refused to leave. Minutes later, a judge authorized the forcible entry into the house, where they found seven men known by officers of having criminal records as well as an assortment of firearms.
However, the supposedly kidnapped man was nowhere to be found.
The detained suspects were released later in the afternoon, and the OIJ is now investigating the case as a missing person.
